Teaching a workshop at PRINCETON DAY SCHOOL IN NEW JERSEY.

Princeton Day School was mid way through their rehearsals for their production of A Chorus Line when I was hired to teach a Master Class to get them back in shape.  Apparently Christmas break had done them in.  But they were awesome!! 

THE CLASS

*Working ONE ON ONE with Shecky will be a unique experience for each person that studies with him. 

*Shecky will create a class that focuses on what YOU WANT AND WHAT YOU NEED.                   

*Work on turns, jumps, musicality, or just up your game and develop the tools you need to confidently walk into any audition and dance to the best of your ability.

*Or just give yourself the experience to work with a Broadway professional and challenge yourself to try something different.

DON’T BE SCARED. BE FEARLESS!  IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!

THE CLASS:

*Each class begins with a warm up, and then a series of exercises that prepare the dancers for the

BROADWAY COMBINATION Jeff will teach them. 

*Over the course of the class, the dancers will be given the opportunity to perform the combination in groups, just like an actual audition.  The class ends with a Question and Answer session where the students can ask Shecky anything about the business, or his own journey to Broadway.

*The class vibe is always supportive, as every dancer applauds and cheers for each other.   It’s all about

learning, growing, and laughing.  Having fun is Shecky’s top priority!!

With over 20 years of experience and over seven Broadway shows (GUYS AND DOLLS, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE PAJAMA GAME, WONDERFUL TOWN, A CHORUS LINE, THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE AND ANYTHING GOES) Jeff knows the ins and outs of the business, and will give you the tools you need to make it in the world of theatre.

SHECKY has taught professional dance workshops and classes for adults and children all over the world, including Australia, Japan, Los Angeles, and New York.  He is a recognizable name in the theatre community as a performer and teacher.  He has taught workshops at Broadway Dance Center, Peridance and musical theater companies such as STAGE DOOR CONNECTIONS, THE MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE PROJECT for Josh Bergasse (NBC “SMASH”) and THE BROADWAY WORKSHOP, and THE BROADWAY CLASSROOM SERIES.

BROADWAY WORKSHOPS

My goal is to introduce children and young adults to the world of the Broadway Dancer by  instilling the importance of having a great work ethic, treating friends and co-workers with respect, and just having fun.  If you’re not having fun, why do it?
