WHAT THE CRITICS THOUGHT!
-Showstoppers emerge from unlikely sources. Gallant Jeffrey Schechter leads the grateful recipients of Robbo's largesse in a thrilling tap number to "Walkin' Happy," hearkening back to Gower Champion's heyday. - VARIETY
-At the performance I attended, the dancing in act one impressed but did not energize until the tap number "Walkin' Happy" nearly stopped the show about two-thirds of the way in. - TALKIN’ BROADWAY
-What follows is a terrific tap dance number, lead by hood Willie Scarlatti (flawlessly and amazingly played by Jeffrey Schecter). - BROADWAY.TV
-Leading the way is the very nimble Jeffrey Schecter, and the number practically brings the house down. - CURTAIN UP
-Deserving extra plaudits is Jeffrey Schecter as the quick-tapping Willie Scarlatti, the only one of Robbo's hoods who has a name (or an identity, barely). Schecter leads the cast in a show-stopping rendition of "Walkin' Happy" late in the first act. - BACKSTAGE
-Jeffrey Schecter shines as hood “Willie Scarlatti” - BROADWAY WORLD
-Jeff’s has the two best numbers in the show and gets the biggest applause at the curtain call. - FRED (Proud father)

JEFF STARS IN FARM GIRL IN NEW YORK
NOW ON DVD!!
In 2006, Jeffrey Schecter, (ED TV, Saved By the Bell: The New Class), J. Robert Spencer (Heterosexuals, Jersey Boys), and Joshua Wade (American Dreamz) teamed up with producer
Joe Grano (The Jersey Boys) to film their feature film, “Farm Girl in NY.”
Jeff, J. Robert and Josh co-wrote the film, as well as star in this feature about TWO GUYS THAT HOLD A FAKE AUDITION TO MEET BEAUTIFUL WOMEN.
Director Joel Zwick (MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING) says, “Farm Girl in NY is a funny, smart and even touching comedy. It is a story well told and very well acted.”
Synopsis:
Sam and Matt flee their small mid-western town for New York City, where hot girls roam the streets! After months of trying to pick up ladies and failing miserably, they come up with the idea to hold a fake audition to meet chicks. Hilarity ensues when dozens of sexy, talentless, babes show up and compete for a job that doesn’t exist. However, when an out of town farm girl shows up for the audition they are instantly smitten. Will these phony auditions come in the way of them finding true love?
-The sexual energy of that era (the raison d’être of “Mad Men”) comes across only in Ms. Marshall’s exuberantly choreographed routines led by Jeffrey Schecter, who brings a hormonal charge to the role of a dance-happy delivery boy. - Ben Brantley, NY TIMES
-Strong assists also come from Jeffrey Schecter as a delivery boy who does a knockout job teaching Ella to dance the cha-cha. - Steven Suskin, VARIETY

JEFF COMPLETES FOUR WEEK WORKSHOP OF YANK AS “ARTIE GOLDBERG.”
In the month of November, Jeff had the pleasure to work with director, David Cromer (Brighton Beach Memoirs, House of Blue Leaves, Our Town), Choreographer, Jeffry Denman (Naked Boys Singing), and writers David and Joe Zellnik on YANK. He recreated the role of “Artie Goldberg” opposite Tony Award Nominee, Bobby Steggert (Ragtime) and Santino Fonatana (Billy Elliot and Importance of Being Earnest.)
YANK was produced by the OLD GLOBE.
The 2010 York Off-Broadway production of Yank! received seven Drama Desk nominations, including Outstanding Musical; two Outer Critics Circle nominations, including Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical; and two Lucille Lortel Award nominations, including Outstanding Musical.
YANK! is a love song to Hollywood's "it takes one of every kind" platoon flicks and to 1940s Broadway. Suffused with songs (swing, big band, boogie-woogie) it explores what stories get told in wartime, and how WWII became the great catalyst in bringing gay men and women together.
Tony Award® winner Jane Krakowski (Nine, Company, TV's "30 Rock"), three-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara (The Pajama Game & South Pacific), Steven Pasquale (reasons to be pretty, TV's "Rescue Me"), Josh Radnor (The Graduate, TV's "How I Met Your Mother"), Peter Bartlett (A Free Man of Color, TV's "One Life to Live"), Tony Award nominee Michael McGrath (Spamalot, Memphis), Tony Award nominee Rory O'Malley (The Book of Mormon) and four-time Tony Award nominee Victor Garber (Damn Yankees, Present Laughter, TV's "Alias") lead an all-star cast in a one-night only performance of Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof) and Joe Masteroff's (Cabaret) romantic musical comedy She Loves Me. Director Scott Ellis (She Loves Me, 1776, Curtains) will direct the evening as a celebration of Roundabout's 20th anniversary of producing on Broadway including its rich tradition of staging classic musicals, which began with She Loves Me.
